The North Carolina Warehouse Association was formed in 1963 by a group of prominent warehouse operators who banded together to introduce legislation into the North Carolina General Assembly that granted inventory stored in public warehouses favorable tax status.  Their efforts were successful, resulting in a huge competitive advantage for North Carolina warehouses and their customers.

They enjoyed the experience so much, they decided to continue meeting together twice a year: in the spring and fall to exchange ideas and explore new ways to help the North Carolina 3rd party warehousing industry grow.

Today’s NCWA is comprised of North Carolina’s premier warehouse operators, many of whom are 2nd and 3rd generation from the original organizers.
